How Enneagram empowers you to identify your core VALUES.

As we all know, it is very critical to identify our core VALUES. Our values form a core foundation of our life, supporting many of the choices/decisions we make and shaping the direction of our life journey.

Russ Harris, author of the Happiness Trap whose approach rests heavily on values, describes them as:

your heart’s deepest desires for how you want to behave as a human being. Values are not about what you want to get or achieve; they are about how you want to behave or act on an ongoing basis.

We tend to adopt the values of the people we interact with as a child, so our values are largely informed by our parents and family, but also the culture and environment we grew up in. These factors have a major impact on our identity or “self-labeling,” and consequently on our behaviours and the choices we make.

I really love the Enneagram personality framework because, this gives great insights into your core values based on your Enneagram type.

Please find the below visual which gives core values for each Enneagram type. Once you know your Enneagram type, you will be amazed to find the 100% accurate core values for your Enneagram type without struggling yourself to recall the core values of your persona!
